French Version

A ceremony was organized on Monday 10 August at USP Emalus Campus to award scholarships to “Formation Continue du Cycle Secondaire” and “Foundation” students who have been awarded a scholarship in second semester by MP for Port-Vila, Ralph Regenvanu.

16 “Formation Continue du Cycle Secondaire” students and 14 “Foundation” students received their scholarships after having been selected according to criteria of their academic performance and financial background. These scholarships are for the second semester of 2015. All together, there will be 16 Francophone students and 25 Anglophone (Foundation) students who will benefit from this program this year.

MP Regenvanu is allocating over 1,000,000 VT this year for his scholarship schemes, which are awarded only on the basis of merit but not politics. Roughly half of this amount has gone to sponsor “Formation Continue du Cycle Secondaire” and half has gone to “Foundation” students.

Since being elected to Parliament in 2008, MP Ralph has sponsored over 200 students through his scholarships scheme, spending a total amount of over 4,000,000 vatu to date.
